Frozen Apple Pie Filling

Ingredients
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 8 cups sliced/ peeled apples (8 medium)
Instructions
  1. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in gallon size freezer bag.
  2. Core, peel, and slice apples and add to freezer bag.
  3. Mix well so apples slices are evenly coated.
  4. Freeze.
  5. When you are ready to bake, remove from freezer and thaw.
  6. Pour apple pie filling into pie crust.
  7. Bake at 425 for 35-45 minutes or until crust is light brown.
