The easiest white bread recipe using all standard pantry staples
Ingredients
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 Tbsp yeast
  • 2½ Tbsp sugar
  • 2½ Tbsp oil
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 6-7 cups flour
Instructions
  1. Combine water, yeast, and sugar and let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. After 5 minutes, combine yeast mixture with oil, salt, and 3 cups flour.
  3. Knead for 7 minutes adding flour in small amounts until dough is no longer sticky.
  4. Set in a bowl, cover with clean dish towel, and let dough rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Punch dough down and divide in half.
  6. Form each half into a loaf and placing in oiled bread pans.
  7. Cover with clean dish towel and let rise until double in size, about 45-60 minutes.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown.
  9. Remove from pans and let cool on a cooling rack.
