I have my parents to thank for this post! When I was in High School, ironing shirts was one of the paid jobs that I could do at home. Although it took some time, it was one of the few jobs I could do in front of the tv. I would pop in a movie, iron all of my Dad’s shirts, and get paid to do it!
Now, having a husband who wears dress shirts at least 6 out of 7 days a week, this skill comes in very handy. Take the time to learn how to iron a shirt correctly and you can save tons of money. I’m sock snob, but in a weird way. I ALWAYS wear socks, except at the pool. I wear socks so often that I buy the large bags of plain white socks so that when one gets a hole, I can easily match it with another of the many socks from that pack.
I have passed on my sock craziness to my kids too. I hate sweaty footprints on the floor, and abhor black flip-flop feet in the summer. We are a sock wearing family all around!
