This year we decided that in order to keep bedrooms looking fairly tidy, the first Saturday of each month is Deep Clean Bedroom Saturday. (please insert child groans).
I found that when I asked my kids to clean their rooms, they looked at me in a semi-confused manner. “Tidy Room” is part of their daily routine, but sometimes the ‘tidy’ aspect became a ‘cram and stuff’ routine. Are you ready for the Deep Clean Challenge for this month? March is the month to deep clean bedrooms. I posted about this before, but I have updated the checklists to make it even easier than before this month.
If you are new to the Deep Cleaning Challenges, you can check out January and February to get all caught up. I usually rotate through different rooms in my house organizing and keeping things from getting too dirty. This time around has been different though as I am trying my hand at applying the KonMari Method to my deep cleaning. It has been incredibly freeing, and I hope you find the results to be the same for you!
We are wrapping up the end of the month and the end of the Deep Cleaning the Kitchen month.
If done regularly, defrosting and cleaning out your freezer does not have to be a huge task. I clean mine out every 6 months to stay on top of the ice and the food stored inside. Here is the way I clean my chest freezer, and I find it to be the most efficient way there is. It only takes 30 minutes from start to finish!
