Lovey, blankie, special blanket…We probably all had one as a child. The amount it was loved varies depending on what kind of attachment you had to that object. Most children have some sort of a comfort object that was sentimental to them growing up. As a sometimes too practical mother though, I didn’t want a blankie that became tattered, torn, nappy, and dragged around in every sort of environment possible only to have a child melt down when it came time to wash it. Between crafts, school papers, and reminders our refrigerator gets overcrowded VERY easily. I love to see my kids’ art work and have it proudly displayed. When it falls of in layers each time we walk past the fridge or open the door though, you know there’s a problem. I may have a slight obsession with benches. So when I saw this bench at a yard sale and found that it had storage space, I was sold! It was very solid, but a little too red for our decor. The top was sort of like wicker and had some some holes in it which I knew would lead to no more wicker within a week. Once the kids were in bed for the night, I got to work. (Sorry, the pictures are not amazing because they were taken at night)
